Who we are
Traclli is a gamified running app. You run with GPS on, close a loop, and the area inside that loop is claimed as territory on Google Maps. Other runners can see those territories, appear on a city leaderboard, and cut into land you hold.
This policy describes the data that product actually uses. Questions: randomegitim@gmail.com.
What we collect
We collect only what the game and your account need. Nothing here is sold.
| Layer | Examples | Why it exists |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Name, email, password (hashed by Firebase Auth), unique username, map color, Google account if you sign in with Google | Create and secure your profile |
| Profile | Gender, date of birth, weight, height, profile photo | Optional profile details you choose to add |
| Precise location | GPS coordinates while you sign up and while a run is active; GPS traces converted into territory polygons | Place your starter square, draw conquests, show you on the map |
| Activity | Distance, duration, pace, steps, total conquered area, number of regions, run sessions stored on-device and in the cloud | Stats, scoring, and history |
| Live presence | Latitude, longitude, distance, duration, name, username, and color while a run is active | Show other players who is running nearby |
| Alerts | Push-notification token, in-app notifications (for example when territory is stolen) | Deliver steal and territory alerts |
| Media | Photos from camera or library for profile and shared run cards; images you save to your gallery | Only when you pick or share a photo |
We also store account timestamps (created / last updated) and a randomly assigned territory color. Email verification and password-reset messages go to the address you give us.
How we use it
- Operate the game: maps, polygons, steals, leaderboards, and rival colors.
- Keep you signed in and let you reset a password or verify email.
- Send territory and steal alerts if you allow notifications.
- Show other players your public run identity (username, color, claimed regions, and live position only while you are running).
- Respond if you email support.
We do not use your data for third-party advertising. The app does not include an advertising or analytics SDK.
Location
Precise location is core to Traclli. Without it we cannot draw a GPS trail or a conquered polygon.
- At sign-up. We read an approximate current or last-known position to drop your first territory square.
- During a run. We follow your GPS path. When the path closes, the enclosed area is saved as a region you own.
- While a run is live. Your coordinates are published to other signed-in players on the presence map, together with your name and username. When you stop, presence is marked inactive.
You can refuse location permission in system settings. The game will not work without it. We do not track you in the background for advertising.
Who sees it
Other Traclli players can see:
- Your username, color, and conquered polygons on the shared map.
- Leaderboard stats such as conquered area.
- Your live position and run stats while you are actively running.
Your email and password are not shown to other players. If you share a run card through the system share sheet (WhatsApp, Instagram, and similar), that share is under that app’s terms — we only hand over what you chose to send.
We do not sell personal information.
Service providers
We host the product on Google infrastructure:
- Firebase Authentication — email/password and Google Sign-In.
- Cloud Firestore — profiles, regions, notification records, FCM tokens.
- Firebase Realtime Database (europe-west1) — live runner presence.
- Firebase Storage — profile and share images.
- Firebase Cloud Messaging — push alerts.
- Google Maps — map tiles and the map you run on. Google receives the location needed to render the map under Google’s own terms.
- Google Sign-In — if you choose that sign-in method, Google shares the account identifiers you approve.
Those providers may process data in the European Union and in other countries where Google operates. Their privacy terms apply to that processing.
Device permissions
- Location — starter territory and GPS runs. On iOS we ask for when-in-use and, for an active run, always-in-use so the trail can continue.
- Camera — profile photo and run-card backgrounds.
- Photo library — picking or saving a photo.
- Notifications — steal and territory alerts.
- Network — sync with our servers.
You grant or revoke these in iOS or Android settings. Denying a permission turns off the feature that needs it.
This website
traclli.site is a static landing site. It does not create an account. It stores your light/dark preference in the browser’s local storage. We do not set advertising cookies. Support mail you send to randomegitim@gmail.com is read so we can reply.
How long we keep it
- Account, regions, photos, and stats stay until you delete the account or we close the service.
- Run traces and locations cached on the device are cleared on logout or account deletion.
- Push tokens are removed on logout and when you delete the account.
- Live presence is written only while a run is active, then marked inactive.
In the app, Delete account removes your Firestore profile, regions, notification history, and FCM tokens, then deletes the Firebase Auth user. Some copies may linger briefly in provider backups.
Your choices
Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, and similar jurisdictions), you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct it (you can also edit profile fields in the app).
- Delete it, including via Delete account in the app.
- Restrict or object to certain processing, where the law allows.
- Export a copy, where the law requires it.
Email randomegitim@gmail.com from the address on the account. If you signed in with Google, you can also revoke Traclli’s access in your Google account settings.
Children
Traclli is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child under 13 created an account, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If we change how the app uses data, we will update this page and the “Last updated” date. Material changes may also be noted in the app or by email.
